It is designed for efficient and rapid tissue processing in histology laboratories. It removes moisture from tissue samples and replaces it with paraffin wax at an optimal speed, thereby minimizing tissue damage caused by dehydration and shrinkage.

Technical Specifications

  • Operated through a feather-touch keyboard with a digital display showing real time, date, month, and year. The display also indicates the running station number, station time, and elapsed time.
  • All electrical switches are silver-coated and heavy-duty for long-term reliability.
  • Leak-proof paraffin wax bath.
  • Internal components fabricated from LM-grade aluminium.
  • Central brass rod mounted on linear bearings for smooth movement.
  • Heavy-duty rotor motor provided for effective agitation.
  • Individual lids on glass beakers to prevent evaporation.
  • Thread-locking compound applied to all screws and bolts after assembly for enhanced safety.

  • Emergency side-lifting handle provided for removal of the tissue basket during power failure.
  • Tissue basket capacity of 30 or 80 cassettes, depending on whether the processor is 1 litre or 2 litres.
  • Rotary head provided with a lock-out feature at the end of the run to prevent basket movement from station 12 back to station 1.
  • Ten processing stations with organic solvent–resistant, lipless glass beakers of 1-litre capacity.
  • Minimum of two temperature-controlled wax baths of 1-litre capacity each.
  • User-definable wax bath temperature range of 50 °C to 65 °C, with high-temperature cut-off at 75 °C ±5 °C.
  • Individually programmable timing for each station from 1 minute to 6 hours in 1-minute increments, with programmable delay start up to 99 hours.
  • Retains cycle information during power failure and resumes processing upon power restoration.
