U.V. Transilluminator operating at 365 nm wavelength is a laboratory device used for visualizing fluorescently stained nucleic acids or proteins. It emits ultraviolet light to excite dyes such as Ethidium Bromide or SYBR Green, making the DNA/RNA bands visible on agarose or polyacrylamide gels.
