It is designed for accurate and rapid diagnosis during surgical procedures. It features a table clamping device, and the specimen rises automatically and precisely using a handle. The CO₂ freezing attachment includes a hard rubber, non-conducting plate between the corrugated freezing surface and the rest of the apparatus, preventing heat transfer and conserving CO₂.
The automatic feed mechanism can be disengaged by turning the index finger fully to the left or set to cut sections at any desired thickness. Each division on the graduated scale represents 5 µm, with a cutting range of 5–40 µm. The robust knife holder can be adjusted to a suitable angle for optimal sectioning of the specimen.
