Technical Specifications

To Determine the Coupling Coefficient of a Piezoelectric Crystal Apparatus Used
  • Piezoelectric Crystal Unit: This unit contains five piezoelectric crystals, each with a known standard value, enclosed within a box. All electrical connections are brought out to terminals on the top panel for easy access and use.
  • Resistance Box: This box contains ten different resistance values that are internally connected and can be selected as needed for the experiment.
  • Inductance Box: The inductance box holds ten standard inductance values, which are housed inside the unit and used for setting up the circuit and making measurements.
  • Capacitance Box: This box includes ten standard capacitors, all connected inside the enclosure, providing a variety of capacitance values for experimental purposes.
  • AC Voltmeter: This instrument is used to measure the alternating voltage across different components in the circuit.
  • AC Ammeter: This device is used to measure the alternating current flowing through the circuit.
  • Function Generator (2 MHz): A function generator that provides a stable alternating current signal with a frequency that can be adjusted up to 2 MHz, used to excite the piezoelectric crystal.
  • Connecting Leads: These are standard wires used to connect the various components and measuring instruments together.
This arrangement is employed to examine the electrical properties of piezoelectric crystals and to accurately calculate their electromechanical coupling coefficient.
