Comprising a blackened hollow hemisphere about 25cm dia, fitted in a wooden board lines with tin, and a steam chamber above the hemisphere to measure them an uniform temperature by passing steam through it recorded by two thermometers- Heavy silver disc soldered a bottom to copper- Constantan thermocouple housed in Ebonite tube with lid Engraved on ebonite tube are Disc Constants, mass and Area, Complete with one extra thermocouple for calibration is supplied.

Technical Specifications

  • Blackened Hollow Hemisphere: Approximately 25 cm diameter, mounted on a wooden board lined with tin for stability and insulation.
  • Steam Chamber: Positioned above the hemisphere to maintain uniform temperature by passing steam through it.
  • Temperature Measurement: Recorded using two thermometers (not included).
  • Heavy Silver Disc: Soldered at the bottom of a copper base for accurate radiation measurements.
  • Constantan Thermocouple: Housed in an Ebonite tube with lid for safe handling; tube engraved with disc constants, mass, and area.
  • Calibration: Supplied with one extra thermocouple for calibration purposes.
