Orsat Gas Analysis Unit

Three Absorption Pipettes (Two-Compartment Type)

Function: These are used for absorbing specific gases:

Pipette 1: Contains potassium hydroxide (KOH) for absorbing CO₂

Pipette 2: Contains alkaline pyrogallol for absorbing O₂

Pipette 3: Contains ammoniacal cuprous chloride for absorbing CO

Two-compartment design: Provides better reagent containment and safety.

100 ml Gas Burette with Outer Jacket

Function: Measures gas volume accurately.

Outer water jacket: Maintains constant temperature, avoiding errors due to gas expansion or contraction.

Manifold with PTFE Stopcocks

Function: Directs the gas flow between pipettes and the burette.

PTFE: Chemically resistant and ensures smooth, leak-free operation.

Aspirator Bottle

Function: Provides suction or pressure to draw the gas sample into the burette or push it through the pipettes.

Wooden Cabinet with Sliding Doors

Purpose: Storage and protection of the apparatus; keeps reagents and components secure and organized.
