This complete apparatus consists of a nickel-plated steam jacket (brass pipe of 50cm long and 2.5cm in diameter) containing one out of three test rods, a micrometer heavy support assembly to mount the steam jacket vertically, fitted with superior quality spherometer. The brass pipe (steam jacket) has a welded inlet and outlet tube for steam and opening for a thermometer. Complete with three test rods but without thermometer.

Technical Specifications

  • Steam Jacket: Nickel-plated brass pipe, 50 cm long, 2.5 cm diameter, designed to hold one of three test rods.
  • Support Assembly: Heavy-duty micrometer support for mounting the steam jacket vertically or horizontally.
  • Precision Measurement: Fitted with a superior quality spherometer for accurate measurement of rod expansion.
  • Steam Connections: Welded inlet and outlet tubes for introducing steam, along with an opening for a thermometer (thermometer not included).
  • Test Rods: Supplied with three test rods for experiments (thermometer sold separately).
  • Versatile Setup: Can be mounted in vertical or horizontal orientation for varied classroom demonstrations.
