It is high EMF of 1.5 V, making it ideal for circuits that require intermittent large currents. Its higher voltage and lower internal resistance allow it to deliver a stronger current for short durations compared to a Daniel cell. The cell features a plastic container measuring 95 × 95 × 150 mm, with a rim designed to hold the zinc rod cathode with terminal. A carbon anode with terminal is enclosed in a filled porous pot containing the depolarizer. It is supplied with the plastic container, filled porous pot, and zinc rod; chemicals are not included.
