Comprising a bar of iron 108mm long×11.5mm diameter mounted at its midpoint on a support rod fitted with a wooden handle, and a brass gauge 150×28mm with a cut out, with a wooden handle, which just admits the bar lengthways. Two holes are provided on brass gauge, which passes the circular bar end ways when cold.
