Babinet Compensator

It is an optical instrument used for the precise measurement of birefringence, phase differences, and optical path differences in polarized light experiments. It consists of a wedge system made of quartz, operated by a micrometer screw, allowing fine adjustments and accurate readings.

  • Movable Long Wedge: Adjusted by a precision micrometer drum.
  • Micrometer Screw with a least count of 0.001 cm, ensuring highly accurate readings.
