Technical Specifications

  • Mercury cistern constructed on the Fortin principle, adjustable to zero via an ivory indicator.
  • Annealed glass barometer tube mounted in a brass casing with metrical (mm) and English (inch) scales from 640–810 mm, vernier reading to 1/100 inch and 1/10 mm.
  • Mercury level adjusted with a knurled screw at the casing base; allows thermal expansion.
  • Corning glass tube and scale covers for durability.
  • Mounted on polished wooden board with metal thermometer.
  • Supplied without mercury.
